The Idea / Context

The idea is to see if your life choices match the main character Riley’s, using series of questions and categorise.

The Planning

The company had to think of a concept that would attract young people,who watch or are new to Disney Channel. Once they had thought of a concept, they’d have to assign roles for different people on the team.

One part of the company’s team had to write up the series of questions and answers that will link(relate) to the programme.

Figuring out what the best parts were in the programme and use it to their advantage.

Another part of the company’s team (most probably the design team), needed to figure out what the background would be, which was a drawing of the world (earth), because girl meets world is the name of the show. Showing the categories as different parts of the world, present viewers with the Disney logo and the subscribe button.

In addition to that, writing up a script for the main character Riley, so that when you click an answer she says something, making it more entertaining. Furthermore, you have the editors who find the specific clip that is linked to the question.

Now the production team have to get Riley (played by Rowan Blanchard) to stand in front of a green screen and says the lines from the script given, so setting up needs preparation. The Editor had to put everything all together and then managerial figure watches it over, likes it, and tell them to upload it to YouTube and then add all the annotations.

The Space / Form

The form is an 1920 x 1080 (1080p) video format, upload onto YouTube that uses annotations.

How The Viewer Interacts

The viewer interacts by clicking a different categories that are connected by annotations on YouTube, which may or may not match the main character (Riley).

The Technology

The technology used to create the final outcome of this interactive video would be a professional camera. Also, the editing software that was used to edited together the solutions, the questions and bits in between such as the graphics (earth and countries that are questions). The design software for example Photoshop etc.

The cinematography such as lighting equipment.

The Experience

The experience is that you get find out more about the main character as well as get a sneak peek at future episodes in advance, which is a bonus. In addition, the theme is life lessons so the situations shown as Riley’s situations could help you if you can relate to them.

 

Times Square Heart Sculpture

The idea / Context

The idea is that when a person touches the sensor the heart beats in time with the person.

The Planning

Firstly the company director (manager) is in charge of the project, so they have to delegate roles throughout. Then the company would have to think of a concept, which in this case is love towards the charity that they are raising money for.

The design of the sculpture which the company probably hired, this person or group of people had to be skilled and experienced otherwise they wouldn’t hired. Companies do not want lawsuits.

Another query would be the scale of the heart sculpture because it is very big and it will need a lot of space to be installed and viewed. The heart beating would also be planned a lot before because it is very technical, involving 400 led with a motion sensor.

After that, would be when the sculpture would be presented and an estimation on how many people would show up as well as the advising of the event. However, the main focus would be on the sculpture.

The Space / Form

The space used was large ( New York’s Times Square) because of the sculpture’s size (porportation).

How the viewer interacts

The viewer interacts but putting their hand on a sensor and it matches the heartbeat of the person, who’s touching it. The more people who put their hand on the sensor the brighter a faster the heart goes.

The Technology

The technology would be that it’s a 10 foot heart sculpture that is made of 400 LEDs that beat and glow. Also, the sensor used to sense their viewers touch. Coding was probably uses in the making of this heart sculpture as part of the sensor.

The Experience

The experience was that the more people who put their hand on the sensor the brighter a faster the heart goes, however, the experience is enjoy watching the heartbeat on a larger scale as well as knowing that if you take a picture with the heart it raises money for charity. Having a fun day out a loved one on valentine’s day.

 

Safe or Dangerous ( Interactive Video)

The idea / Context

The idea is for the viewer to choose which situation was either safe or dangerous and if you pick the correct one, you need to move on. If not you have to start again.

The Planning

The first would be thinking of different scenarios that are interesting and relatable, then see if it is possible to do. Also, where the scenarios lead to. Once that is worked that out you will need a script so you don’t get stuck for words, after that, you will need equipment such as a tripod.

Furthermore, for an interactive video such as this one, you need to have a cameraman to film it because you going to be moving around. After filming, you have to start editing in some cases you may need a storyboard, editing software is acquired.

The Space / Form

The form of the video is a YouTube video that uses annotations.

How the viewer interacts

The viewer interacts by clicking the annotations to see if your answer is right or wrong.

The Technology

The technology would include the type of camera used to film the interactive video, the tablet that was being used in one of the scenarios, furthermore, the type of editing software whether it was software such as premiere pro or windows movie maker. In addition, the Youtube website using annotations to link answers.

The Experience

The experience for the viewer is to be taught the difference between right and wrong in a fun, entertaining way. Whilst you’re learning about right and wrong, you’re also gaining a connection (familiarity) with that specific youtuber.

 

 

Interactive Beatboxing drum kit

The Idea/Context

The context is for the viewer to play a drum kit using specific keyboard keys, which is fun.

The Planning

To start with the company/creator of this webpage had to think of a concept, asking questions such as what can we do to entertain the audience? How are we going to persuade clients to sign up?

Once they had thought of the concept i had to be implemented, after that you have to think of the design. The design looks realistic (similar) to a real bass, snare, cymbal and tom because that is what they think will attract the viewer plus it would give the desired beat boxer a sense of the programme and how the beat boxing sounds similar to the actually instrument. The background is contrast the instrument, which the designers probably thought was best.

After that, it the sound, the company (project managers) have to make sure the sounds are exactly right otherwise the beginner or intermediate beat boxer may not want to sign up. They also had to find a studio to do the beat boxing in, unless the organisation had one already. Once that is done they had to figure out the controls that would link up the the individual beat boxing drum kits and if they had wanted to do multiple drum kits, then they would need a control for that too.

The form is an interactive beat boxing drum kit on a web page (website) played by pressing keyboard keys.

How the viewer interacts

The viewer interacts by clicking the instrument or pressing keyboard keys (controls) allocated to the different elements of the drum kit.

The Technology

The technology would be the studio used to record the different drum kits (sound), the software that links the controls different elements of the drum kit, the design software used to create the webpage outlook and the website domain that makes the website available to use.

The Experience

The experience is for the viewer to have fun pressing the different keyboard key, making beat boxing music at the press of a button, also for beat boxing to get an idea of what the beat boxing academy is about, inviting them to join their programmes.

 

Trey Songz Music Video

The Idea / Context

The context is to show us his new music video and promote Trey Songz’s album. Also to tell the audience the theme to this song,which is fantasy.

The planning

The first thing Trey Songz has to do is think of concept for the video, which was to display to the audience his fantasies through his music video as well as making a music video for his song ‘Touchin Lovin ft Nicki Minaj’ from his album Trigga. Then he had to  hire a skilled director and company to film his music video, also using his visionary skills he had to describe what he wanted and director as well.

After that, Trey Songz had to cast the women from his music video, after watching the interactive video he wanted the women to be sexy and are confident, which makes more people (more males) watch the music video.

The equipment set up is crucial, the company and Trey Songz have to think about how much everything will cost and if they need different equipment for the music video to be successful. Also, the studio set up. In addition, the effects shown in the music video such as the butterflies and the intro of the music video.

Furthermore, the company has to hire make-up artists for Nicki Minaj, Trey Songz and the different models in the music video as well as clothes designer take make the clothes or on the hand clothes artist who pick out the clothes.

The company had to think about when Nicki Minaj would be able to take time out of her busy schedule to perform in front the camera (feature in the video). She as in the video so that mean she was free.

All of these elements are very important in the media (production) business.

The form is an interactive video, which is linked to a website (html).

 How the viewer interacts

The viewer interacts by clicking on what fantasy the music artist should have next using a diamond-shaped cursor. Whether it’s an ice queen or a hot red devil.

The Technology

The technology would be the camera used to film the music video, the lighting equipment used for the cinematography. Th editing software that the effects were used for and the editing software to put the music video together (as a composition).

The Experience

The experience is to connect with the artist because after clicking each step you get an insight of what Trey Songz like in his woman as well as his playful personality. Plus you could be a fan of him and Nicki Minaj, and you like listening to this song.

If you are a male viewing this interactive video you may or may not have a different experience when watching/clicking this video, from a male or should I say sexual point of view you might just wanna to admire or look at provocative woman, being realist this video is ideally close to pornography. I wouldn’t want in my interactive video.
