What is Adobe Premiere Pro?

Adobe Premiere Pro is an editing software, which is used for videos and pictures, Manufactured by Adobe, used mostly on Mac but can be used for PC (windows).

How to use Adobe Premiere Pro

When using Adobe Premiere Pro there are two different editing layouts the first one (on the left hand side) is the normal layout. However, the second one ( no the right hand side) uses the layout from CS5.5

and you can find that at the top, where the tool bar is, by first clicking window then clicking workplace, scrolling down to editing. The editing layout that uses CS5.5 (on the right) is the preferred layout, when using the Adobe Premiere software.

If you want to change it, all you need to do is to go to the top tool bar click workspace and then go to editing CS5.

This is the Program window, it is used to show footage and media that you have edited so far on the timeline (a preview window).

This is the Timeline, used to add and arrange footage, to compose the final product.

How to import media

Click File and then scroll down and click import. however, use can use the shortcut, shown in the picture on the right to import videos and images.

How to use in and out points

 This symbol  Screen Shot 2014-10-21 at 12.56.46 is used to mark the starting of the video that you would like to use. Mark in tool there’s also a shortcut and it’s the letter ‘I’.

 Screen Shot 2014-10-21 at 12.56.58 This symbol/icon is used to mark the end of the video (clip) that you would like to use. The Mark Out tool, which has a shortcut and it is the letter ‘O’ on your keyboard.

How to create titles

First, You need to go to the tool bar at the top of screen.

After that, you have to go to Title and scroll down to New Title.

Once you’ve gone to New Title, you have three options. Default Still…, Default Roll… and Default Crawl. The one you have to choose is Default Still.

When you’ve clicked Default Still it should appear (as shown in the picture above) where you can create your title.

Effects

Go to Effects, which located near the bottom left of the screen.

These are the different effects that are on the software, using to perfect or better footage helping the editing process. For example Video Effects such as Warp Stabilizer used to stabilize shaky footage.

How to export media

Once you have finish a Project that you’ve done, you need to export the video, so what you need to do is go to File ( located at the top of the screen) then scroll down to Export. When that is done click Media.
