Dreams Perceived From Different Backgrounds

How do people from different backgrounds perceive dreams?

Here is a brainstorm of the different concepts that come to mind, when I think of people from different backgrounds.

Religion

Christianity/Catholicism

This interview is with the priest at Our Lady of Willesden Church telling me about how dreams are perceived from Catholic/Christian point of view, this is what he said.

Father Stephen Willis talks dreams in society and how the church dream is of unity and peace. I agree with what the priest has and that the ambition of peace is something I think everyone would want. Then the Priest talks about dreams in the sense of life after death, I acknowledge this statement because I believe in Heaven and I hope that everything that I have done or will do in the future will grant me that honour.

In the old testament (scriptures/Bible) people used dreams as a form of communication between God and Mankind. It has normal however,If you were not receiving visions then they it symbolises their disobedience to God.

God uses dreams to direct people and guide people. I do believe that to be true because some people have dreams that have come true or has helped people, e.g. when you can not make a decision on a situation and your dreams have helped you make a difficult decision.

The priest says a lot about dreams/visions in Christianity, that I had found to be about interesting and intuitive. I could the information I have gathered from this interview. On the other hand, if I do not use it in my short film, I have acquired new information that will broaden my way of think in that may help me in future tasks.

5 stages of sleep

In this clip, he talks about the 5 stages of sleep: Stage 1, dosiness, Stage 2, light slumber, Stage 3, deep slumber  Stage 4, light slumber Stage 5, awakening.

What he has said is very interesting and think my short film of my main character in a dream will be based on Stage 3,Deep slumber. In addition, to the fact that she stays in deep slumber, when she thinks she is at Stage 5.
