Questions for the Interview

  2. Have you ever taken revenge on anyone or anything?
  3. How did it make you feel taking revenge?

Alternative question:

  1. Have you seen any scenarios of revenge or been in the middle of it?

The interviews on ‘Revenge’

Interview 1: Eniola

Eniola’s feedback was quite interesting because he said has never taken revenge on anybody. Maybe it is true, however, it could be that he can’t recall any situations since they could have been ‘payback’ on a smaller scale so he doesn’t consider it as revenge. Nevertheless, I think that it is considered as revenge. What I have learnt from his feedback was that people tend to make some situations into a bigger problem as they try to take revenge and this might take a toll on bonds like friendships because people around might feel uncomfortable and the tension between people. This was useful because not everyone thinks that little actions that they do don’t count towards revenge. I could use this to incorporate a little situation that escalates into a big one.

Interview 2: Menkem

I agree with Menkem’s feedback because I have witnessed the injustice of the justice system. Where someone has been falsely accused of something or someone accused of something doesn’t receive the correct punishment in society. I think that humans like doing things for themselves because they know action has been taken, also, they feel better about the situation and how they resolved it. I think that this piece of feedback was very insightful because I made me think about what type of revenge I want for my project.

Conclusion

In conclusion, I think these two opinions was helpful because they have given me anecdotes that could use for my idea, however, it might not what I am looking for. However, it has helped me understand more about how revenge implemented towards different individual and how revenge is used in a negative and positive way. One was seeking revenge for a friend who can not defend themselves and the other one who took revenge because they got in trouble even though they didn’t do anything.  Both were personal vendettas, I could do my creative media project based on the personal aspect of revenge, this research was benefited me a lot.
