Pre Production – It’s the things you have to do before the actual production start, this happens mostly in Television or Film.
Signify – To indicate something.
Symbol – Something that represents or stands for something else.
Symbolism – An item or a collection of items that have a meaning to them.
Eclectic – A person who derives ideas, style, or taste from a broad and diverse range of sources.
Curator – A person that looks after or manages a Museum.
Primary Research – Is when you used data ( information) that you have discovered yourself, which means that you are the main source.
Secondary Research – Is when you receive information from a second-hand source,(information that is not your own and was found by somebody else), such as the internet, a book or magazine/newspaper.
Quantitative Research – Based on information that can be measured (counted) using Maths (Numbers).
Qualitative Research – Is information based on opinion, a persons or group of people approach towards something instead of statistics and undeniable facts.
Normalisation – It’s the process called when raising a low sound to its maximum altitude, to get the sound without causing the audio becoming distorted.
Context – Something that has a meaning, whether it’s an emotion or a setting, it has an effect on someone.
Bin – A tab where audios are placed to import onto the arrange window on Logic.
Bounce – To make an audio file.
Wav – A non-compressed file.
Compressed/Compression – A file that is made smaller.
Lossy Compression – When a file has lost some of the original information to make it smaller. For example, a MP3 file.
