Single Mothers

Single Mothers. A single parent, who spends most of their day to day life taking responsibility of raising a child/children by themselves (without any spouse or partner). Single mothers are also known as the primary care givers (usually). There are many reasons why single motherhood may be caused, for example, a partner’s death, partner leaving (army, abandonment or refuge), a couple may become separated or divorced.

The Tyler Perry Movie:The Single Moms Club shows viewer the hardships and struggles of single parenting and just being a single mother. furthermore, how single mother should unite more in today’s society.

Mom at sixteen

This movie is about a girl who had sex at 14 and had her baby 15 but could look after it because she was too young and her mum did not think she was really, which is wasn’t.

I had enjoyed this movie because it shows and informs you about teenage pregnancies and how it effected the different mothers, also, it shows what people are like in high school for example, people calling her names like slut etc. How many people judge what they do not understand portraying ignorance and it was very emotional to watch, I cried quite a lot it was so good.

This song is about how they respect single mothers and support their struggle, telling a story through their song (lyrics) as well as raising awareness about sex and pregnancy. Additionally, when he is rapping about single mothers it is very motivational and positive, sending a message. The song shows that they are against the men who do not take responsibility in rising and supporting their child but favour the men who do take responsibility.

In America, there is a famous show called The Ellen Show and Ellen does a lot of things for people of all ages and situations. Here are examples of her helping out these single mothers.

Ellen Degeneres – The Ellen Show

This mother is a big fan of show and she shares her story, which is devastating but throughout all the bad she still stays positive and many single mothers may relate to her situation. So, Ellen Degeneres brought her on the show and changed her life. She gave her a car as well as 15,000 dollars.

This show brings on a show and call a single mother to the stage. Promoting the single mother, and her skills, Ellen tells her audience to call the show so that someone could employ this single mother that has been through a lot, Ellen shows sympathy for the women and her two daughters. Buying her a microwave for her home which holds 20 thousand dollars inside sponsored by stutterfly so that their life can be a little more easier which shocking the family and the audience s well their family a new car so that they can go places. This show just makes you think about the good things in life as well as the support and how more people should be as generous, if they have a lot of money and it would not burn their pocket. It would change millions of people who are in a similar position to her and people in general.

Conclusion:

I think that Patrick’s response exactly what I think and what I like and I think that that opinion on single motherhood is coming across and the olden day values on single motherhood is declining. Also, I like all of positive feedback received about single mothers because back in the 1800’s/1900’s single motherhood was not accepted.

Back in the olden days, for example in the 1950’s having a baby outside of marriage was shunned because family values were so high, not that they are not nowadays but having a father and mother is not as important in the sense that people don’t commit suicide because they ashamed and disowned by the family, it’s more lenient. You have lot more support when it comes to raising your child or children own.
