  • Hard to get interviews.

Infatuation

Positives

  • I haven’t done it before so I would like to explore the theme and I would be an interesting topic to discuss.
  • I think that there are a lot of ways I could present this theme. For example, I could do it in a comedic way, for example, someone being infatuated with beards or I could do it in a deeper way and make it about a person and how they would die for them.
  • Relatable to the audience as someone watching could be going through or have gone through that experience.
  • Ability to show different types of infatuation and how different each type may be.

Crime

Positives

  • It could relate to real life situations, for example, certain incidents happening locally etc.
  • There’s a lot of scenarios I could work with if I came up with a storyline.

Negatives

  • The biggest negative of doing a crime-themed film is that I think that crime would take too long with the time frame that we have. Too many props needed to complete it, it will be too big of a production.
  • If done incorrectly, it may offend the audience. It may be sensitive to the audience because a person watching it may be the attacker or the victim of abuse.

Peace

Positives

  • Allows the film to end on a happy basis.
  • Gives the character a sense of accomplishment as they go throughout their story.

Negatives

  • The audience may get bored if the aspect of peace is used too often, the character must work hard towards that eventual goal.
  • Shows that the screenwriter lacks imagination as there is not much of a challenge.

Culture

Positives

  • There’s variety in the theme, for example, culture is to do with music, countries, race and more.
  • You can explore and learn more about your culture as well as other cultures, making the audience aware of people’s backgrounds.

Negatives

  • It may offend people.
  • If shown in a negative aspect could cause a false sense of knowledge to the audience.

Motivation

Positives

  • Allows the audience to understand why the character is doing what he/she is doing.
  • May inspire the audience who are watching.
  • Gives the story meaning.
