Equipment and Studio Setup

Equipment Setup

Headphones  Headphones

When wrapping up the head phones do not do it like this because it puts pressure on the wire, which is not good. If you want to pack up the earphones properly make sure you twist cable into circles. this also prevents tangling the cable.

When filming your subject make sure you always wear the headphones, it is important that you hear sounds effectively (stopping background noise that will interfere with the shot).

Tripod  Tripod

The tripod is used to steady shots when filming, which is good because editing the footage.

Camera Case   Camera Case

This camera case is used to protect the camera, make sure when you finish with the camera put it in the case straight away, because it will be more likely for you to lose the camera, this will prevent damage to the camera, which is beneficial.

Camera Camera

The Camera should always be placed on its belly, because it will not roll over. Furthermore, when using the camera you  should never take out the SD card because there is no need to, the footage or images will be transferred to the computer by connecting the USB cable into the Camera.

Clip

The object shown above is used to secure the camera to the tripod, without it you would be unable to use he tripod small but crucial. To connect the clip to the camera, you should place the clip into the bottom of the camera and using the screw, you twist the screw round until it is secure. What ever do, do not screw it to the camera too tight because it will hard to maybe impossible to unscrew, which would not be good for you. After that, clip the camera on to the tripod.

Shotgun Microphone

The shotgun microphone is used to get a specific audio, such as sound or dialogue. making the audio sharp and clearing to listen to, because it directed to one bit of the microphone so it keep out background noises such as wind, people taking, cars going pass to an point. You can use it for films, interviews etc.

Microphone Windshield

The Wind Shield covers the shotgun microphone, because it stops any wind from disturbing the audio, making footage sound clearer.

Boom pole

The Boom Pole is used to hold the shotgun mic or an mic for that matter. It’sspecially good for interviews because when you are filming a group of people, a handheld microphone will not suffice.
