Freelance Work

Pros and Cons of Freelance Working

Pros

  • I can choose When to work and Where.

With freelanced work I can work wherever I want, for example, I can work from home or at a cafe etc. In addition to that, I can when I want to to work, which makes my schedule more flexible.

  • I can choose what I want to work on.

I am not obligated to do something that I do not want to do, which means freedom in what I have chosen.

  • Being Your Own BOSS.

Nobody telling you what to do. Also, the feeling of independence, people respect entrepreneurial skills and you can happily say that you have built a reputation for yourself.

  • Meeting New People and Gaining Connections.

I could have the chance to meet people the inspire you and make good connections (nice people who become noticed by big companies). You can work with people with similar interests to you and advice you, which help you gain new skills and techniques.

  • Prices.

I can create my own price rates for example, if I wanted to charge 50 pounds for a video or 20 pounds an hour on a event. It would be my choice, negotiating prices etc.

Cons

  • Inconsistent Monthly Income.

When comes to money you won’t always find companies that need you to work for them.

  • I Have To Find Work By Myself.

When it comes to freelance work, you have to find clients by yourself. Searching Google and going to different shops asking managers questions, such as do you need any promotional videos etc.
