Sample Rate

Sample rate is the number of times a sound wave is measured per second when being converted to a digital signal.

The standard sound frequency used is 44.1 KHz, used for Compact Discs (CDs), however, 48 KHz, are mostly used for DVDs.

When sound is set to Stereo, it means that the sound waves will transfer (come out from) two speakers. Additionally, when sound is set to Mono, it means that the sound waves will only come out from one speaker.
